Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo at the biggest castle in Poland. We had gotten to the castle early in the morning so that I could get pictures without many people in them and it was worth the early drive. I am a self taught photographer from South Florida.Time
It was early. I don't really remember the time since I was still jetlagged a little. But it was probably just a few minutes after the castle opened for the day.Lighting
It was very over cast that day. I was at first a little upset about it being over cast because I thought it might make the castle look sad. I was so wrong.Equipment
This was taken on my Canon 77d with a 35 mm lens.Inspiration
My friends went to the bathroom before we entered the castle so I was taking pictures around while I waited. I turned the corner and saw the gated then fell in love.Editing
I looked around for a good picture and just appreciated what was around me.In my camera bag
When I took this photo, I only had a 35 mm lens at the time. I was just starting out on my photography journey and it was so amazing. I used that lens for EVERYTHING. But not I normally carry one or two extra lens depending on where I am and at least a tripod.Feedback
Take a minute to look around. Don't just take pictures to take pictures all the time. Just stop and walk and LOOK for the picture. Sometimes you might find something unexpected.
