The remains of one of the oldest churches in Germany, in Mainz, close to Frankfurt. Originally built on the site of a parish church dating back to 893, it was constructed between 1280 and 1330, with the tower - just visible through the tree - added in the 15th century.
It was unfortunately badly damaged during the Second World War and is now maintained as a heritage site.
