Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken during a hike looking for some deer in the autumn. I

Time

t was early in the morning and the sun was just on the horizon.

Lighting

To capture the gold color at its best I decide to underexpose the scene by 2 stops.

Equipment

This was shot with my Sony a7-r III and the Sony G 70-200mm f4

Inspiration

I was there for some deers but nothing happens so I decided to move my attention to the landscape.

Editing

For this shot, I use minimal adjustments to bring out the vibrance of the golden sunrise. The scene was unbelievable and does not require any further modification.

In my camera bag

When I go hiking I try to be as light as possible, usually, I take a wide lens like a Sony 20mm f1.8 and a normal field of view lens (that is my favorite one) the Voigtlander Nokton 40mm f1.2. If I know that I need something longer I take the 70-200mm zoom lens.

Feedback

Wake up early in the morning before the sunrise and move in an upward position. The goal is to point your camera to the east in the morning with mist and a clear sky.
