Location
I took the photo in 2000 at the Scott Market in Yangon / Myanmar. The photo was still photographed analogue, on Fuji Sensia 100, slide - material.Time
I took the photo in the afternoon in a market hall of Scott Market in front of a large window. I asked the parents of this little boy for permission and they were very proud that I wanted to photograph him.Lighting
The light was pleasantly soft and went wonderfully with this child's portrait.Equipment
The picture was taken with an analog Canon EOS-3, 35mm SLR camera. The lens was a Canon EF 28-135mm, f/3.5-5.6 IS USM. I didn't use a flash.Inspiration
This question is easy to answer. It was this little boy's unbelievably large eyes that really fascinated me.Editing
I developed the DIA scan in Photoshop (circa 2002). I removed annoying things in the background (only a few). I adjusted the colors a bit (made the face warmer). I also played with the film grain a little bit and increased it a bit to get a bit of structure. In my camera bag
At the moment, as I'm more specialized in architecture, I have in my photo bag a Canon 5D Mark iV, a Canon lens EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM, a SIGMA lens 12-24mm/4 DG HSM Art and a SIGMA lens 70-200mm F2.8 DG OS HSM Sports. I also have some Rollei filters in my camera bag. Also included is a travel tripod: GITZO (basalt) model: GT 1931.Feedback
All I can say is; go through the world with open eyes, use your eyes like a scanner so that you don't lose any motif. Of course, be curious too. Always look around the next corner, there you might discover a new motif. Photography is just a great hobby.
