This is the Metro in the Upper West Side in New York. It is one of my favorite photos of New York. I just love the way the Metro looks. And I'm looking forward to taking a new photo of that Metro for my new coming up color book of New York. So there is a magic time to shoot cityscapes, and that is right when the city turns the lights on and you still have details in the sky and it's not too dark. And that's what this photo is all about. I remember my book was finished; I had sent everything to my publisher. Actually it was raining, and we were super tired. My wife and I were very early in bed, and I saw the rain got stronger. I got out of bed and went and got this photo. It turned out to be my favorite photo on the entire trip, it's so funny. Have you had that happen to you?

I am coming to Paris now! I would enjoy meeting you at my photowalk on November 18, 4-6 pm. Come take photos of the Paris sunset with me, meet me at the statue on the Pont Neuf. It will be a lot of fun!
