Wow, blue and white forever!
Whitewashed buildings and steps, blue blue sky and sea and domes. It’s overload of the beauty senses. The numerous blue domes and bell towers are Greek Orthodox architecture and symbols.
Santorini is a Greek island in the southern Aegean Sea. It sits atop a 1,300 foot volcanic black rock cliff above the sea. There are endless cafes and shops and homes stacked up the side of the cliff atop each other so it’s easy to stop and enjoy a glass of wine, get away from the crowd, and look out on the gorgeous-ness, breathing a deep sigh.

It was very crowded when we were there in the old part of the island. 2 ships were in. Recommend you find a place a little off the beaten path.....

This place amazes me. I watched a TV Doc on it and they said that they've limited the number of Tourists that can come off the ships each day. These World Heritage sites are suffering for it. But I still would love to visit. So beautiful. I could just sit on a Terrace and have a few sips anytime !

There sure was no limit the day I was there. It was (literally) dangerous because this place is nothing but cliffs and low walls! But I'm happy to hear it they're taking some measures. I don't know how the residents stand it!

Somehow I managed to get a few shots that weren't full of people. That was the challenge! I need to go back and be there in the mornings and afternoons when the cruise ships aren't in port. Bucket list.
