Behind The Lens

Location

the original image of this amazing dancer was taken on a shoot in Delaware.

Time

Afternoon on campus in Southern Delaware.

Lighting

The original image was taken under natural light at an outdoor location. I loved the contrast of the horizontal brick and the veritical striping in the outfit.

Equipment

This was taken with a Canon T5, 24-70mm lens, handheld.

Inspiration

The original photo was taken during a costume shoot for this amazing dancer. This is her signature pose, against a brick wall. The final image is a composite of a chain link fence over the original image, converted to B&W with selective coloring.

Editing

Fence overlay in PS with selective coloring and B&W mix.

In my camera bag

as most of my photography is hand-held and always on the move, I carry a minimal amount of equipment. Usually my camera body and one or two lenses, 24-70mm and 50mm. I may bring along a flash accessory for the camera body in case of low light areas.
