This picture was taken during a guided tour in a rainforest near Andasibe, Madagascar. We started our tour early in the morning to hear the special screeches of the Indri Indri. After a short time, the concert began and we spotted the group very quickly. Through my camera's viewfinder, I saw, that one female lemur had a baby jumping around on her. Suddenly the young one sat down and both looked into the same direction.
The Indri Indri is the largest recent lemur species in Madagascar and the whole planet. Through deforestation, their habitat is shrinking extremely fast. Like almost all lemurs, this species is already endangered!
