The fables island of Icha'ka'tick'tock, which is loosely translated "Skull Island of the North" and as legend goes, only appears twice a year for 24 hours each time.

(Of course I made all of the above up. It is actually a small island we passed on our way to the Hubbard glacier in Alaska.)
