My 5 year old takes the lead on a quiet afternoon hike in upstate NY. I am grateful that my son has inherited my wife's and my appreciation for nature and the great outdoors. Children grow up so quickly and are surrounded by so many distractions it is not always easy to find or make time for these peaceful and quiet moments- but they are so worthwhile and cherished.
