There are some things about halloween I like and some things I don't. Though The Mexican tradition of Day of the Dead or Dias de la Muertes I find is misguided as well as somewhat sad I do like the aspect of respecting ancestors and family. As well as the idea of leaving behind a legacy. If there is anyone that knows better and wants to correct me by all means do. I also like the art and body-paint I see for that festival an therefore used it as inspiration for my halloween costume this last weekend. I've always liked the human anatomy and I didn't really think of skulls as evil or ugly but beautiful, part of the creation and miracle our bodies are. I know that it is usually a result of death that we see the skull and which is a result of our sinful nature and acts but I don't think that skulls or the skeleton should be synonymous with evil. there's my two cents, I don't mind heated discussions, just keep it civil and have an open mind.

Well done.
Making up the hands in the same manner as the face would have made this a stronger image for me.

Great capture of culture. El Did de La Muerte is a day of honor, respect and remembrance for those who have died. It is not meant to be morbid. Disney's animated feature film, "Coco," illustrates the beauty and meaning of it well. I recommend it. I like this photo.
