Amazing photo.

Behind The Lens

Location
This amazing capture was taken in North America, wilderness in northern Montana. It was like any other day walking about on my hikes with my camera hoping for something to appear. With photography it’s all about geography time and environmental conditions however much is based on opportunity. And that’s what we discerning photographers in Mother Nature await. This particular capture was my day’s enlightenment. Family of Owls ???? perched just perfectly. They were there, and I simply stumbled upon them observing me. I was in totality my element. Being in nature is my home. I’m at one with god and Mother Earth. In balance with harmony with nature. I ran into an accidental mistake with cropping the image itself and I cannot under that mistake however it was a lesson learned in working with Photoshop. It hurt by making that mistake however the capture still speaks for itself. I don’t use photoshop or any imaging software on my photography. I only use Adobe Photoshop for water marks for my photography. All of my work came directly from the camera, the appropriate lens, camera mode, appropriate aperture, ISO and shutter speed along with environmental conditions and lighting from the days sun. All I did was position point focus and a gentle push of a button. I’m highly grateful for this beautiful capture. M
Time
This photo was taken in the AM hours between 10 and 11am. It was a beautiful day. A bit chilly however the conditions were great. M
Lighting
The sun is your best friend in lighting. I prefer natural lighting by the sun. Nature always works her magic. M
Equipment
I use Canon 5D mkIII with a large professional high lens. Canon lens 300mm f2.8. No flash and no tripod. M
Inspiration
My inspiration was the very capture itself. What could be more or better inspiration than walking upon such a beautiful sight. M
Editing
No, there isn’t any post processing on this photo. The camera and nature did all the work for me. M
In my camera bag
Two Canon Cameras, 6 lens, a high end professional flash, my camera vest that my camera is attached and locked on it so I can freely move about, my camera backpack which is high end professional pack that I have set up to keep my gear compartmentalized, variation of lens hoods, mini and large pro tripods including surfaced foundational and rotational camera mounts for shooting in a variety of angles. I carry flash lights and solar lights along with EDC survival essentials. M
Feedback
My advice is to always be with your camera every where you go. There are always going to be something that you’ll want in your portfolio. Keep learning and trying out new and old techniques and bettering yourself in photography. Use compassion and thoughtfulness when shooting, respect the environment as well as using caution. Passion is your driver. Enlightenment is your reward. M
