Thanks. It is one of my favorites. Especially because it was unplanned. Just flying down the highway and when I sa that sunset I just had to stop and get a photo. It just kind of happened and with a cell phone

Location
I took this photo on a country road in northern Minnesota. I am new to photography and really got into it while I was taking a photography class at school this last semester.Time
This was taken late in the evening just as night set in.Lighting
As the sun dropped over the horizon the sky lit up perfectly to use as backlighting yet there was still just enough light to get just the right amount of shadow and detail yet still maintain the mystique of the shot.Equipment
I didnt use anything special. This was actually shot with my Samsung note 9 cell phone. I propped it against my riding glove and controlled it by remote with the S pen. Nothing fancy, but it was all I had on me and the sky was to perfect to miss.Inspiration
I was just out for a ride and relaxation and as I saw the sky change as the sun dropped out of sight I just had to stop and enjoy it. While I sat there this shot just came to me. It just sort of happened.Editing
I did a little bit to brighten the lower third to bring out the details of the rocks and if I recall correctly I played with the saturation a bit. But very little was done to it.In my camera bag
As I am very new to photography I am still looking for a good camera to buy. When I want to shoot with something more than my cell, I have to check out a Cannon G15 from the school. I usually have a couple tripods with as well. One day I hope to have a nice camera of my own and some added gear to accompany it, but for now I just have to make due with what I have access to.Feedback
Pay attention to the sky and the backlighting it will give you. In order to get the details of the gravel road, I shoot from the ground as opposed to using a tripod. Timing is key for the right amount of light to maximize the shadows yet maintaining detail.
