You obviously have more patience than the Wolves. How long did you wait for this shot. I really enjoy this photo

"Ok now listen up, here is the plan." Wolf #4. looking at us is eager to carry out the mission. #1 is thinking "I don't want to do this". Numbers 2 & 3 are looking at 5 & 6 because they have a tag team competition between themselves. All with future hopes of knocking the Alpha down from the mountain top so one of them may take its place. Good shot!

I have to admit, they do appear to be making a plan of some sort. Great shot.

Location
This picture was taken in Omega Park (Montebello / Québec). Parc Oméga is an animal park where you can live the unique experience of Canadian wilderness.Time
This shot was taken early morning. A bunch of young wolves caught my eye. They were running all over the place. I finally understood why ... one of the gang had a bone in his mouth and the others wanted to steal it! They finally stuck it against the roots of an overturned tree. It was at this precise moment that I took the photograph!Lighting
I rarely go out to take pictures when it's sunny... I prefer to take pictures when the weather is cloudy, when the sky is overcast. When shooting animals on an overcast day, the sky act like a giant soft box creating soft, even light.Equipment
This shot was taken with a Nikon D7200 with a Nikon 200-500mm VR at 500mm, handheld, with the vr on sport setting. No filter. White balance set on cloudy.Inspiration
When I first observed the scene, I thought it was just like in a schoolyard with children ... When the young wolves trapped the one with the bone, I thought it would make a great photo ... a photo that told a great story.Editing
Lightroom and photoshop... Lightroom to set the raw for photoshop and photoshop for the contast, colors and a bit of focus. In my camera bag
Nikon D500 and d7200 as a backup... for glass i use Nikon 200-500mm VR and Nikon 28-300. Sometime a manfrotto tripod.Feedback
Get up early for the best light, be patient, wildlife photography is a lot of waitingis and little action... but when the action start you need to know your gear so you don'y loose shots... knowing your gear, patience and good reflexwill help you to get good shots...
