Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken at Col. Francis Beatty Park, Matthews, NC. We were suppose to do a beach shoot but the model surprised me when she showed up in her bathing suite ready to get into the water!!
Time
This was taken an hour and a half before sunset. I knew we would have amazing backlight and keeping low to the ground made for some amazing depth.
Lighting
I try to never use a flash outdoors unless it is necessary. This day, the ambient light was perfect!
Equipment
I used a Nikon D750, Nikon 70-200MM 2.8 and Ambient light. My ISO was set to 500 (that is my sweet spot) and I zoomed to 200MM at 2.8. I believe my shutter was 1/250 or higher.
Inspiration
The model inspired me!!! She was playing in the water and I was getting some amazing shots but felt I needed a one that had more action. So I called out and instructed her of what I wanted.
Editing
My only post is lightroom for color balance and photoshop for minor dodge and burn.
In my camera bag
All Nikon!!! Nikon D750, Nikon 24-70MM 2.8, Nikon 70-200MM 2.8 and a Nikon 910 Speedlight.
Feedback
This shot is actually simple but beautiful. Make sure the light is behind the model, your shutter is set high and take several shots until you get the one you love.
