The light was fast starting to fade which resulted in me having to up the ISO levels, I normally prefer to shoot at 100 but ended up here at 400.Equipment
Here I used my Canon 7D Mark II and my Canon EF70~200 f/2.8L IS USM at 1/100 sec, f2.8, focal length 130mm, ISO 400, handheld.Inspiration
This was a wonderful experience, this herd of buffalo were slowly walking and grazing on the edge of the river, there were at least 500+, all of a sudden something spooked the herd and they turned and started running towards me, this resulted in a full scale stampede putting me right in the middle of their path resulting in this picture.Editing

As a wildlife photographer in Africa I carry quite a lot of gear, my two camera's are the Canon 7DMkII and my old faithful 50D, as to lens's, I have the Canon EFS 10~18, the EF 28~70L 2.8, the EF 70~200 f2.8L IS II (used here), the Canon 100~400 f2.8L II, and the Tamron SP 150~600 Di. Added to this is the Canon 100 f2.8 L IS USM Macro and a EFS 18~135 purely for video. Then a couple of other lenses for the occasion. The rest is normal stuff, tripod, flash, TC's etc.Feedback
I always say patience is what makes the photographer, in wildlife photography you very seldom "choose" your photo, it most often presents itself to you, you shoot and what you get you get. In wildlife photography there is no posing, no positioning, just that which you have at that moment, the light may not work for you, the position may not work for you, your equipment may also at that moment not work for you - you make the most out of the situation, and yes, always enjoy the occasion.
