If you get the chance, go visit this Labuk Proboscis Monkey sanctuary, Sabah, Malaysia. Google the place. It's just fantastic! They are allowed to roam freely - no cages, no fences, no moats. They walk inches away from you ( if you dare.. they are big!) They are free to leave the sanctuary which is next to/part of the forest & mangrove swamps. They purposely feed them less than ideal food to help persuade them to go away and look for their own natural food. So proud of this place. ( I am NOT affiliated to this place )
