I truly wanted to get the wonderful gradient effect of greys to be subtle and enhancing. I have found that natural north light works best for me to get this effect... The gradient greys become soft.Equipment

These days I shoot using a Nikon D750 digitally and Leica CL and CLE rangefinders for analogue using Ilford B&W film.Feedback
Never underestimate the value of natural North light...! Always use your full frame as a painter uses the entire canvas.
