With this scene, I wanted to get a sense of surrealism and timelessness and the relative sparseness around the ruin helps evoke that here. The vivid colours, along with the varying tones, I feel, lends a nice juxtaposition to the stillness here but yet still grounded with the symmetry and bold lines that is seen here.
