Location
The photo was taken on Cedar Mountain, which is probably misnamed since the top is covered in Aspen forest.Time
I like to get on the mountain early. Horizontal rays of sunlight illuminate the trees so much more pleasingly than when they come straight down. So I leave my home before dawn timing my arrival to sunrise or just after.Lighting
See above answer.Equipment
Hand held Nikon 3500Inspiration
I could tell, just looking at it, that it was a scene for the ages.Editing
Just enhanced the color. The camera does not capture the color as well as the eye, so I try to make the colors somewhat brighter to match what I saw.In my camera bag
Just the camera and a few filters, but I have never used the filters. Not sure I know enough about their use to be worth the effort.Feedback
