I had always wanted to see this epic mountain. Towering above the surrounding landscape, Mount Cook is definitely a sight for sore eyes. We had driven from Wanaka in the hope to catch the sunrise and were blown away when clouds turned pink and revealed its peak. I really wanted to capture the feeling of "the mountains are calling" and decided to use the winding road as the foreground in the sense that it leads towards the mountains.
