“The Grotto” is a cave geological formation and tourist attraction, found on the Great Ocean Road outside Port Campbell in Victoria, Australia. Wooden steps wind down the cliff face to the bottom, providing visibility of the sea beyond and a pool at low tide, as seen here! The origin of “Grotto” in Latin means a small picturesque cave, cavern, cavity, hollow, recess, alcove especially an artificial one in a park or garden. In this case a real formation over millions of years.

Victoria, Australia. (cjcphotography©)
