Good morning friends,
Back from the Croatian coast, I show you the first "Making Of" of our "Storm-Shooting" yesterday. Apart from the fact that we had a lot of fun, it was incredibly difficult to take a picture. For one, the wind was so strong that it was hard enough to stand on your feet and keep your balance. For the second then also to make sure that the camera with the tripod is not blown away! In addition, there was also the fact that the spray was so strong and the waves, at intervals of a few seconds, lashes meter high splashes on land.
So we ran our van as close as possible. And even our van has powerfully wobbled in the storm. Then everything was set up in the van and the camera was set. Wait for a moment between the waves, quickly make a composition, camera correction and shot. I do not remember how many times the splash on the camera & filter is slapped? Then back into the van, filter wiped and again from the front.
And here I really have to praise the new Wolverine filters from Kase! The coating of the glasses are excellent. Briefly with a soft cloth over it and the salty water was residue-free and without problems, without greasers, or streaks disappeared. That's the way it has to be!
No idea how many times I had to run back and forth between Van and Spot but we had a lot of fun doing it!
