This female Ruby Throated Hummingbird woud perch herself on the tall stand in my yard wtih multiple arms for hanging plants and I also have hummingbird feeders on it. She would sit there for a while looking around and ruffle her feathers. There were several hummingbirds, I believe all female hummers that would chase each other away from the nectar pods. She was I believe one of the bigger ones and was guarding her territory. I have tree individual hummingbird feeders with nectar on this particular decorative stand. They are crazy for the nectar, even more so, as they are fattening up to fly south for the winter...I will miss them while they are gone.
