Behind The Lens

Location

We were walking around the Tower Bridge looking at the details of this historic structure along with a group of other people when my daughter needed to use the restroom which were at the bottom of these stairs. What a fantastic opportunity to get a photo outside of the tourist pack of a gorgeous, striking spiral staircase.

Time

Afternoon - but was inside - so didn't make too much difference.

Lighting

Difficult lighting as it was at the bottom of the tower

Equipment

Hand held Canon 6D

Inspiration

I absolutely love spiral staircases - love the patterns and the lines involved.

Editing

Yes - fixed the levels and improved contrast to properly appreciate the wonderful lines and textures on the stairs.

In my camera bag

My Canon 6D, 50mm prime and 18-25mm lenses - a tripod if the trip allows for it.

Feedback

Take notice of all he little details when viewing a tourist attraction - sometimes the most beautiful photos can be overlooked by only focussing on the obvious.
