Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a winding road leading up to Pali Highway on Oahu. Just before the lookout monument. I was on my way back from a hike and it had briefly stopped raining when I took this picture

Time

Around noon that day. It was still cloudy with more rain expected later that afternoon.

Lighting

Not much to say about the lighting - all natural lighting, clouds being the perfect filter to keep my shot from being overexposed.

Equipment

I took it with my Samsung Note 8.

Inspiration

The setting with it's symmetry and green shading among of the plants and trees made it easy for my to take this photograph.

Editing

Light edit with Lightroom.

In my camera bag

Usually a mini-tripod for my phone. Along with clip-on ND filter and a Bluetooth remote for my waterfall photos. The rest is hiking-related gear that I normally take with me on the trails.

Feedback

As an beginner/amateur photographer like myself - learn the basics to photography and and try to replicate pictures from more seasoned and experienced photographers. And with that, take what you learned and put your own personal touch on them.
