On the 9th Floor of DUMC-DUHS the windows are painted with ribbons with bowls below, telling what each ribbon is for. Patients or their loved ones, write the persons name on a ribbon that corresponds with the patients illness (there is a bowl for general) and ties the small ribbon to the larger ribbon. The ribbon gets so large it is sometimes split into 2 ribbons. I always wonder how many prayers have come true & how many are now grieving their loved ones. Here is hoping that everyone's prayer is answered. If you look closely you can see the helipad with LF1 on it.

What a wonderful thing to do! Families often feel so helpless...maybe this small action will give them some peace. Praying their prayers come true.

Sometimes all we have left are prayers. This is a beautiful idea for families & even those ill themselves. After LF3 went down, killing all aboard, the window turned to all white ribbons & post-its with notes for Life Fight. Should have taken photos of it but too awe struck & saddened. I often wonder about those who placed the ribbons on the bows it their prayers were answered, Thanks for liking it!
