I was gifted the opportunity to live where I wanted with a new virtual position I was offered. I accepted the job and moved to Galveston Texas to fulfill a a bucket list item of living on the beach. I celebrated this gift by walking the sun up each morning and being overwhelmed at the beauty of the early morning sky. this photo is looking east towards 61 Street pier.Time

One of the things that is clear to those of us who daily walk the sun up, the window of awesome is fleeting, so go early while it is still dark, go every day, pay attention each moment you are there and you will be rewarded in your spirit everyday and in your library of great photos often.Equipment

I use to carry a lot, NOW I carry my phone, for me it is about the experience of being there - so carry what you will use and fits in the rest of your activities - for me on the beach that is a phone - I get wet, I get sandy, I get cold, a camera bag doesn't "fit"Feedback
Find a place you love, go everyday, start in the dark or go till dark - sunrise for me was always the best on the beach - but when starting out, experiment with time - enjoy being there - really get to know the place - I am convinced that passion for a place shows up in the photos - have fun!!
