Behind The Lens

Location

I took this Photo in my Studio in Offenbach am Main/Germany. It´s a green screen studio I create in 2015.

Time

I usually shoot in my studio in the morning time. I like to start ina morning mood at about 10 am.

Lighting

I use the helping lights of studio flashes. It´s ideal to set the focus.

Equipment

I shoot in studio with an Sony a99 mk2 and 50mm lens. No flash but the help lights of the flashes. The studio is a green screen studio.

Inspiration

I wanted to show sadness and sensibility this portrait. In side her there is emptiness.

Editing

I draw a background to put her in a dark cave. I changed the hair colour in more laminated red. At the beginn I made a beauty retouch of the skin.

In my camera bag

When I shot outside I take my 50mm, 14mm, 90mm and two zoom: 90-200mm and 300-600 mm. Important are cleaning material, four battery packs and fast and big 128Gb sd cards to easily shoot in raw mode.

Feedback

When you shoot with a model, it´s better to tell her what to feel than what to do. If you shoot in a green screen studio, it is important to tell what expression or feeling you want to have. In this picture I to her that she is frozen in a ice cube...
