I took this shot at Fox Glacier just down the road from the main town. It was the morning my helicopter ride over the glaciers had been cancelled due to nasty weather, so what does one do? Take some rainy day photos! Judging from the dense growth of moss and lichen on the fence timbers I'd say this was not the only rainy day here! The country side was lush and rich, so much beauty.

It was very quiet indeed. This was the morning of my helicopter flight over the glaciers...cancelled due to the weather. So I wandered down the road in the rain and was rewarded by some stunning scenery.
