Hiking in the Waterberg mountains in south Africa what started as a 1 hour hike turned into a 4 hour hike and climb for my wife and I with a wrong turn. The trail was marked out well for the most part but there was a section that had been damaged in a fire the previous winter so the signs had been erased. We made it, and it was a real pleasure but we had no water or supplies with us. This is from one of the few wide dirt trails on the ridge of the hill.
