Behind The Lens

Location

Taken on early days of mobile photography when my mother asked me to send her some postcards for her to show further. Trying to impress start using my phone pointing at everything on the way back from school.. it was supppse to be Radcliffe Camera in the spot but as soon as I had arrived that long shadow used almost all my battery. With the sun gone as well as the battery, my mother did receive afteralll, a touristy postcard of the landmark... and a dozen of bw shadows prints. Taken in Oxford, England

Time

Late afternoon as within half an hour sun disappeared and the “rush” hour starts in all surranding pubs. One wouldn’t miss that on a warm summer evening

Lighting

It was one the most obvious yet over looked compositions, effortlessly created nature and a random bicycle left in the wrong place. That, and ancouple of filter apps - done

Equipment

Canon80d, 24-105lensand a tripod. Yet, most of photos are taken on iPhone where it gets, stored, edited and uploaded. Unless it’s a planned photo shoot all is done mobile and with apps. Seeing it

Inspiration

Was walking towards the place looking into my iPhone when stopped to check if I’m at the right distance to capture Radcliffe Camera ... and it was right in front of me. The Camera never got a second look on that particular occasions.

Editing

I do; regardless of how percetly balanced sometimes a shot comes out .... a tiny adjust on o aspect must be done. Later in the evening, 20-15 different variations of the original, at least 3-4 usual apps (unless I get creative.,...) I gave up frustrated of having to choose only one to upload. And there are always new ideas and layered that need adding ... By than the resolution of the-near-to-perfection-shot throw at you by nature is so overworked that I need to start again; and what “nature” knows anyway when we have enlight, Polarr, Snapseed ..,

In my camera bag

I used to have some iPhone lenses but and external battery. The lenses are somewhere around London but external battery still have. If I a shoot; battery, cleaning kit for the lenses and a dozans usb, charging cable never needs. And memory card

Feedback

Apart from the obvious, I always, also look up, down, back, through the lenses, through the iPhone, ...be courious. “If you’re different, your stuff should be too”
