From the cove where we were staying on vancouver island, we had the opportunity of sighting a resident pod of Orca that might pass. They live in a 170Km stretch of water and we were lucky to see them when we went to look. The noise they make from the blow hole to breath gives you good warning and if the sea state is calm, you cant miss the mighty fin. A great experience.
