This was actually taken at the Bournemouth Airshow, there was a presentation of by a Owl and Raptor conservation trust.Time
It was the middle of the or late morning, before the Airshow started.Lighting
There was anything special about the light, it was cloudy and dull, but actually that made it perfect for picking up the colour detail on the owl.Equipment

Not much. Did some saturation and colour adjustments as it almost perfect straight out of the camera.In my camera bag
I've now upgraded to a Canon 750D, I usually have my 55-250mm and 18-55mm kit lens in my bag. I usually have a tripod or two. Acouple of filters (mostly polariser and ND). Plenty of spare batteries.Feedback
I've learnt so much since this photo, but if anything I can advise is get as close as possible to your subject.
