After summiting Thunder Pyramid as my 100th of the highest 100 mountains in Colorado, I decided I really needed a great photograph of both Pyramid (featured left of center) and Thunder Pyramid (just right of Pyramid) to commemorate my accomplishment. Since Pyramid was my 14er finisher and Thunder Pyramid was my Centennial finisher, I could only see this being done by climbing below North Maroon Peak across the valley to try to get alpenglow at sunset. A storm moved into the area and dropped snow onto the peaks and shrouded the valley in fog and clouds. Just before sunset, the rain and clouds departed, revealing the fresh snow and this amazing view. What a way to finish!
