Location
This photo was taken from the New road bridge in Ayr Scotland. This is the last bridge before the river Ayr enters in to the docks and then into the sea.Time
It was taken at 18.38 when i was out for a walk scouting the bridges for a possible good place to set up for some night time photosLighting
The lighting was natural light which was giving me the right conditions for the reflection off of the river. Although the river looks a blueish colour this was caused by the reflection of the sky. It runs a lovely brown colour due to the residue that is picked up from the run off from the fields.Equipment
The camera used was my Canon 1300D with a Canon EFS 18-55 lens. I used my soft hat as a rest for the camera on the bridge and used a cable release.Inspiration
I was looking for places to do some night photography. I had done shots from this bridge towards the sea but didn't really pay attention up river. The reflection that is created by the natural lighting and the tower blocks in the background just looked a great photo.Editing
The only post process i did to this was to sharpen and auto balanced the colour. I try to do as little as possible to the photos. In my camera bag
What i normally carry is my 1300D with my lenses Canon EFS 18 - 55 /Canon 28 - 90 and a Canon 90 - 300 and a cable shutter release.Feedback
I would say that when i'm taking photos like this that i like to view the shot from the angles that are available to see which gives me the shot that i feel happiest with. I'm not good at writing up specifics because i tend to go along with what i feel is right at the time. So i don't really know what to say apart from if you feel the shot looks good take the photo.
