Everyone goes to the Philippines and head straight for the beaches but you’ll be surprised what you are missing in the North. The Batad rice terraces are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and were definitely a highlight of my second trip to the Philippines!
What a great experience! Connected to nature in stead of the internet as there is no service at all. Batad is a small and remote village with a population fewer than 1500 people and only accessible by foot. The rice terraces are over 2000 years old and known for its majestic natural stairway to heaven.
