Atwater is a small beach serving the Shorewood community (a suburb of Milwaukee). This beach has many nice compositions for capturing compositions. There are large concrete groynes that are great for leading lines. This particular morning each groyne had a couple photographers trying to capture the sun rising over the horizon. Instead of joining them I was going to try to find some different. Behind me is a beach playground. The opening between the fences lead to the main portion of the beach.
