As you know, when there is nothing you can compare with, it only depends upon a scale. So you can make photos of cities on an electronic board, ravines of small cracks in the rock, and various landscapes with small, interestingly textured surfaces.
Once upon a time, even many SciFi movies used such technique with success.
This canyon is actually half a meter high, and if I were to change the texture and darken the water in the background, the resulting scene could have been named more dramatically.
