Location
Took this photo in Kenya on safari with the family. We stopped as the sun was going down on a plateau looking out over the valleys. We all had a go of doing something as a silhouette and these are my two female grandchildren aged 5 and 4. If I remember rightly it was their attempt at an Irish jig.Time
It was taken after the sun set and before complete darkness.Lighting
The lighting was very low and I had to use all the iso I had to allow me the speed to take the action shot.Equipment
Just my canon camera and 24-70 lens. I had no tripod or flash with me so had to take hand held.Inspiration
The views earlier on had been stunning and I was taking pictures of the family looking out over the view. Then they all started doing hand stands and jumps etc. It was great fun.Editing
I did a little processing. I lightened the image slightly and used lots of noise reduction to get rid of the grain, added a little contrast and a little clarity, all in Lightroom. In my camera bag
Normally I carry my Canon 5 iv and three lens. The 25-70, macro 100, and the 100-400. Usually I have a selection of filters and a lee system to cover most eventualities. I will also carry about 3 batteries, cleaners, a peg or two for macro, remote control and extra cards.Feedback
Have fun to start with. I am lucky my camera can use a high iso speed and also takes well in a bad light. Think a tripod would be good and a flash for a slightly different result but more versatility. Also make sure you get low so that they look like the are well off the ground and clear of the background.
