It was the first time I climbed through the dolomites, finally a great dream of mine came true. Many people easily reach these places, but for me it was not so, for various reasons. But even for this I enjoyed this climb out of my ordinary until the end.
I can say that I trained a lot this summer, mentally trained thanks to the solitary, because for this climb I had a lot of need.
The alarm was at 3 am, dismantled the tent and breakfast we walk at 4, we arrive at the pradidali 6 at a very slow pace and at 6.45 we are attacking, we enjoy the view for half an hour and we leave.
Already after the first shot we no longer understand where to go, so we decide to make a very direct and ignore the castiglioni that we intended to travel. It touches my partner, makes a shot from 59 meters and then I go up again, passages of V +, good rock. It's up to me, sideways to avoid a smooth slab and then vertical on a dihedral, steps of V +, stop on two hourglasses, fantastic shot, super exposed, shivering about 50 meters two protections on friend along the whole shot. Let's go ahead until we recognize the ninth shot of the castiglioni and we rejoin, the tenth throw we separate and make a direct variant with a short passage of VI- and the rest V - V + super plane.
So we get to the top, happy and even quite tired, I think I closed my eyes for a maximum of 40 minutes in that tent.
There were 5 degrees at the top, but it was fine, we started to go down with the doubles, and then we caught the rain. I started to get cold because of that icy water, but we endured and went on, made about 10 doubles, one of which in the void, pity has forgotten the action cam in the backpack, we arrived at the top of a scree descending in steps of 20cm , very steep.
So we returned to the pradidali and the car.
Starting from about 1170m, we arrived at 2791m, so ended my first experience in the Dolomites, which I will hardly forget, I begin to understand more and more the difference between repeating a path, beautiful stud, and one with two nails on 350m.
