She pursued Enipeus, who refused her advances. One day, Poseidon, filled with lust for Tyro, disguised himself as Enipeus and from their union was born Pelias and Neleus, twin boys. The Enipeas (Greek: Ενιπέας) is a river in central Greece, tributary of the Pineios. Its source is in the northern part of Phthiotis, near Domokos. It flows generally northwest, through Thessaly.
