Thank you- it really was a labor of love. It was a lot of work, but so fun to make!

Location
Obviously, this was inspired by the work of of Maxfield Parrish. There are at least 4 images used to make this composite- the woman (shot in a studio in Salt Lake City), the lake is Smith Moorehouse lake in the Uintas, the clouds were from an incredible sky I saw one day in Heber, and the rocks are the hills on the north side of Parleys Canyon.Time
Various, and immaterial to the image.Lighting
The first image shot was the rocks- seeing them driving one day is what inspired this image. That image was shot about 10 or 11 am, but mid-winter, so the sun was low to the south. I tried to match the other lighting to that light. Specifically, in the studio, I used a broad (6') key and a few fills.Equipment
Nikon 810 camera. Various lensesInspiration
Driving, I saw these rocks in the Parleys Canyon. I immediately thought of Maxfield Parrish, and decided to pursue the image. It took over a year to get all the component parts of this image.Editing
Lots of layering. Also a lot of color tinting. I played a lot with color, going back and forth until I found something I liked. A lot of this was by eye.In my camera bag

Keep going until you create that image in your mind....
