Early eveningLighting
There wasn't that much available light available, but this enhanced the affect t of the electric lighting.Equipment
I used a tripod with a Canon DSLR and a short zoom lens.Inspiration
This image was an attempt to capture the atmosphere within this short tunnel. The subdued reflective lighting and the cobble stones with exposed wall brickwork gave off a scary feeling. Turning g the colour image to monochrome helped recreate this.Editing
I turned the image into monochrome and did a lot of dodging and burning to help with the grittiness of the image. In my camera bag
While undertaking this kind of street photography I travel light with a single short zoom lens and a camera body.Depending upon the time of day I may tight a light tripod.I always carry extra batteries, particularly in cold weather.Feedback
Be vigilant to what is happening around you, and always try and see beyond what is in front of you in order to create that image with the je ne sais quoit.
