The Barn Owl is the world’s most recognized owl due to its wide distribution throughout the world. Its diet consists mainly of rodents. They can often be seen perching on wooden fence posts near farms waiting for the slightest movements of its prey which are consumed whole in several gulps.

This was taken during the middle of the day just happened to be in the right place at the right time with camera ready and continuous mode on.Lighting
Nothing special other than a bright sunny day typical of an Australian summer.Equipment
Canon 70DInspiration
Australia is full of wild and wonderful creatures. On this trip I spent several months taking images of many of them including birds, kangaroos, koalas, crocodiles, platypus, and many many more.Editing
Absolutely none whatsoever, this image came out of the camera perfect. In my camera bag
Canon 70D DSLR and Sony A7RiV Mirrorless along Nikon W300 for underwater work. An assortment of lenses, spare batteries, a plentiful supply of memory cards and a lens cloth.Feedback
Its hard to plan a shot as wild animals are unpredictable so to increase your chances of getting such an image firstly make sure you are outside and ready to get the shot as you may only get one chance. Be prepared to face many disappointments too as the shots that get away far outweigh those that you get.
