Location
This was taken on a golf course.Time
Early morning with lovely natural light.Lighting
Early morning overcast created a soft natural light.Equipment
Canon 7D, Canon EF100-300mm lens, hand held, natural light.Inspiration
There was a family of burrowing owls in a sand trap on the golf course. They were used to people, so I was able to get a few shots before they left.Editing
I shoot RAW, so of course I did some post-processing. I adjusted the light to darken the background and bring attention to the face of the owl.In my camera bag
Canon cameras, 4 lenses, filters, extra cards, extra batteries, charger, rain jacket for the camera.Feedback
Awareness of your surroundings! Keep looking all around. Be quiet and patient.
