On the last day of fall North Texas experienced a morning where the fog rolled in so heavy that visibility was cut to less than 50m at times. It was glorious. I spent more than 3 hours hopping around the back roads of Texas never making it to my original destination since I saw compositions everywhere. The fall colors appeared late in the year as well leaving much of the color still buried in the mists along shorelines and wind breaks. It was one of the best days I've ever had as a photographer.
