Location

I took this photo on my trip to Iceland. I decided to take a Puffin tour and having the opportunity to see this awesome birds flying around was something else. If I get the chance to visit Iceland again I will

Time

It was around 2pm in the afternoon

Lighting

The lighting was perfect since it was overcast almost every day in Iceland. It was perfect

Equipment

I took with me the Sony A9 with the Sony 70-200mm F2.8 and the 2X teleconverter

Inspiration

Just the experience of traveling and meet this majestic birds. I always wanted to photograph Puffins in the habitat and finally I had opportunity when I took my trip to Iceland

Editing

I processed this photo in black and white. I wanted the photo to look artistic since the only focus was the Puffin. When I processed this photo I knew I wanted to frame it

In my camera bag

I always travel with my Manfrotto BeFree tripod, also my wide angle lenses never leave the bag. Batteries for my camera and memory cards. I never leave without them

I suggest for you to save money and travel. Gear is great but having the experience of traveling and visiting majestic and beautiful places only happen a few times in life. Go and and visit your favorite place. You’ll not regret it
