Canon Rebel 350D XT and Canon 70-300 lens on Auto.Inspiration
This was just luck of being in the right place at the right time- the fox just happened to be sleeping, so being at the zoo, it was easy to get a good shot.Editing
Just a basic crop to focus more detail on the face, otherwise basically straight out the camera. I had already set up the camera itself for more sharpness. In my camera bag
Since this picture was from six years ago, I have now upgraded to a Canon 5D MkIV with a Tamron 24-70 G2 lens. My bag still includes the Canon 70-300, as well as a Tamron 90mm Macro lens, and a polarizing filter for the 24-70.Feedback
Zoos can be a good place for getting closeups of animals, and a telephoto lens really helps to get detailed shots. The challenges include working around crowds and finding just the right angle to get the best composition.
