I was so excited this spring to discover a Great Horned Owl nest in a park perhaps an hour from my home. There were 2 babies and this one was the larger of the two. It initially was sleeping with it's back to the nest opening but I kept waiting and it finally turned around and just kept staring at the world including me outside of the nest. I love owls and the chance to photograph them in the wild was wonderful.
